I found a good description:

Rotate gems to form groups of three or more of the same color (triangle shape). Grouping identical gems will give you points and add more time to the timer. If you match the black gems you get a bonus. The game will end if the timer expires. To qualify for the next level you must fulfill the requirement for each color of gem. You can rotate gems clockwise or counterclockwise. Click the button with the arrow on it to switch rotations.
