I recently just got a 600 watt 12" MTX subwoofer along with a 650 watt MTX amp in my car.
Its a tank.
I absolutely love em.
I also saw a very nice turquoise new Ford Taurus with nice bright silver rims. Sweet aftermarket tailights and a silver spoiler. Definately the coolest Taurus i've ever seen.

I have two 800W 12" American Bass subs in a ported box in my trunk, powered by a 2000W Lanzar amp with a 1.0 farad capacitor.
I can rattle your car apart. :-P

I don't have a car, I drive my parents car (for the time being) until I can afford to get one.

Subs- $260
Amp- $300
Cap- $20
Box- $80
Total:$660
That's not including the other 6x9 and 4x6 speakers and cd player I got in there. But anyways, a capacitor just stiffens the power current comming from your battery.
It's basically helping your battery supply power to the amp. It keeps your lights from dimming when the bass hits really hard. You're supposed to have 1farad for every 1000W of power.

Im not into amps and subs, I like some nice speakers and a sweet deck...you still get the boom of subs but not outside the car so much. Sounds cool though guys.
