should there be more mercs than just 2 per turn???

does any1 else agree with me in saying yes there should!!!

my answer will always be no. there needs to be a limit, otherwise people will end up with huge populations.

and all i'm saying is that we increase the nmber per turn, even just to like 5 instead of 2, cause as cua grows with more players there needs to be more mercs to go around!!!

but seriously the amount saved isnt a lot: u save $10 (35+5-30) every turn and thats not an awful lot. where are my moderator priviledges!!! lol

no u save $10 if ur european or oceania and u have NO allys!!! if ur american and u have no allys u save $15!!! and asian is like 13 or something!!!

however if u do have allys i can be from $10 to like over $150 per person per turn!!!

plus mercs increase ur defence and or attack considerably compared to if u don't have soldiers to hold them!!!

while the "moderator" of the forums doesn't think there should be more, i would like to point out the following:

1. when dragon and messy used to play, there were about 400 players (probably 1/3 of them were multis).

then the mercs lasted the virtually the whole round.

2. they lasted the whole round until the 1st rnd with 50 nukes to finish. i know this, because my friends and bought all the mercs once we realised how long the rnd was going to last.

3. now we have player numbers ranging from 700 - 900 AND a lot more active more players.

4. the mercs don't last the first couple of days, now. AND the untrained mercs are all being used, which they never used to be.

to try to justify the current level of mercs is a useless exercise, as they are no where near as available as they have been in the past.

besides, the cost of nukes has been raised, then lowered, the cost of cloning was changed 3 times in one rnd recently, nuke def cost and strength has been changed. all the % of the siege and def have been changed.

so, the amount of mercs has been identified as an issue by serious players, therefore should be reviewed by admin.

i dont understand why jase cares about people having huge populations of mercanaries. what does that have to do with anything other than the population number beside their name wll be greater.
i think there should be unlimited amount of mercanaries or at least 10 a turn.

now we have the situation where as soon as the turn goes all 6 mercs (2 of each type) are taken. if you have to "fight" to get mercs, surely there is a need for more of them!

come on dragon, we need more mercs! :confused:

There's never going to be enough mercs... once I add more, then people will want more, and more and more...

Dragon, while it is true to say, that when you add more, people will use more. But in the early days of the game, there was always mercs avialable, right up until the end of the round.
Now they don't last but a few seconds, generally.
There is a quiet period, when presumably Australia is one of the few countries that are online, and they can build up for a turn or two, but other than that they go immediately.
If the players "want" more, then what is the problem with "giving" more?

Especially those that WANT more mercs!

And another thing, mercs help those that have been nuked recover, more quickly. That is, when you have lost so many citz you can't hold enough weaps, then "if" there were more mercs, you would be able to buy some to help you out.

So, see i am thinking of my victims, as well as myself! lol
